This guide outlines the procedures to close a merchant account and return credit card equipment to the merchant processor.
Procedures
To close a merchant account, please email [email protected] to request a call tag to return equipment. Include the merchant name, merchant ID number, equipment ID number and/or serial number, as well as a statement requesting closure of the merchant account.
Email [email protected] to request decommissioning of Merchant IDs and return of terminal equipment in order to protect from fraudulent use and ensure that continued merchant expenses are not incurred.
Returning Credit Card Equipment
To return credit card equipment (defective or no longer needed, etc.), please email [email protected] to request a decommissioning documentation. Include the merchant name, merchant ID number, equipment ID number or serial number, and the reason for the return.
