Project One Go-Live Brings Pause to Chart of Account Changes
Review important information about additions and changes to Chart of Accounts values during the Project One Phase 1 cutover and the interim period until Phase 2 go-live in July 2027.
Project One’s Phase 1 go-live is coming in April 2026. Beginning in April, UCSF Health will use an enhanced Chart of Accounts (COA) to record financial transactions in the new Oracle Cloud system and other Health systems. Campus departments will continue to use the current PeopleSoft Financials system and UCSF’s current COA until Phase 2 go-live in July 2027.
The Project One team has communicated two critical time periods when additions and changes to Chart of Accounts (COA) values will be restricted.
- Cutover Period – pause on changes: To support a smooth Phase 1 go-live, additions and changes to the COA will be paused for a finite period of time, which varies by segment.
- Interim Period – limited changes: For the period between Phase 1 and Phase 2 go-lives, UCSF will operate using two different COA value sets. Following the initial cutover pause on COA changes, to maintain the integrity and accuracy of our financial data during this time, changes to COA values will be limited between Phase 1 and Phase 2 go-lives.
