Unclaimed Payments and Cash Application Training Reminder
Refresh your knowledge on unclaimed payments and the cash application process.
Now is a great time to review the Unclaimed Payments and Cash Application training video from the Cash Operations team. This video highlights changes to our unclaimed payments and cash application process implemented in July 2024, moving from a single main depository bank account to four distinct bank accounts for business functions.
Below are the top three reminders based on the most common questions we receive about using the Unclaimed Payments List:
- Check all tabs of the Unclaimed Payments List. Each bank account has its own dedicated tab in the file. The General Ledger (GL) account associated with that bank account is also listed on the file and should be used when preparing the journal entry.
- Remove filters applied by other users. Because multiple users access the file, filters may occasionally be left on, which can limit the number of payments displayed. If you are expecting a payment but do not see it on the appropriate tab, please first check that no filters are applied.
- If you still cannot locate the payment, contact the Cash Operations Team for assistance.
If you have any additional questions regarding this process, please contact the Cash Operations Team at [email protected].
