Oracle Chart of Accounts Validator Tool

Oracle Chart of Accounts Validator Tool

A new COA Validator Tool is available to all UCSF employees to support UCSF’s transition to an updated Chart of Accounts (COA).

As part of Project One, UCSF is introducing an enhanced Chart of Accounts (COA) that will be standard across the UCSF enterprise. The COA transition will occur in two phases:

  • Phase One: The UCSF systems primarily used by Health will transition to the Oracle COA at Phase One in April 2026. These systems include Epic, EPSi, and 340B Programs.
  • Phase Two: The UCSF systems primarily used by Campus, or used by both Health and Campus, will remain on the PeopleSoft CoA until Phase Two in July 2027. These systems include UCPATH, UKG, Unifier, Jaggaer, Concur, SIS, UPlan, ODS, MyReports, SCUBA, UCOP Reporting, SOM Plus, Huron Research Suite, ServiceNow, and IT Recharge System.

To support UCSF’s transition to the updated Chart of Accounts (go-live April 1, 2026), a new COA Validator Tool is now available to all UCSF employees. Access requires logging in through MyAccess using your UCSF credentials.

The tool enables two-way translation of PeopleSoft and Oracle COA values for each chart segment, making it easier to validate full chart strings or individual COA values during the transition.

A short eLearning video is available to help you quickly learn how to use the tool. Visit the Project One website (UCSF authentication required) for details about what's changing with UCSF's Chart of Accounts.
