The CGA Project and Data team have made several updates to the Proposal and Award Metrics Dashboard (PAMDash) to improve clarity and provide additional views of funding activity. These updates provide users with simplified naming conventions and additional ways to analyze funding trends within PAMDash. We are continually reviewing the data to ensure consistency and accuracy. Learn more information below about the updated dashboard name pages, new dashboard pages, new page filters, and new data columns.

Updated Dashboard Page Names

The following dashboard pages that are based on the Date Added field have been renamed to include ‘Date Added’ for clarity:

Funding Volume

• Funding Volume → Funding Volume by Date Added
  • Funding # By Date Added – Monthly (formerly Funding Added # - Monthly)
  • Funding # By Date Added – YTD (formerly Funding Added # - YTD)
  • Funding # By Date Added – Yearly (formerly Funding Added # - Yearly)

Funding Amount

• Funding Amount → Funding Amount by Date Added
  • Funding $ By Date Added – Monthly (formerly Funding Added $ - Monthly)
  • Funding $ By Date Added – YTD (formerly Funding Added $ - YTD)
  • Funding $ By Date Added – Yearly (formerly Funding Added $ - Yearly)

New Dashboard Pages

The following new dashboard pages have been added to allow users to analyze funding by Issue Date:

Funding Volume by Issue Date

• Funding # by Issue Date – Monthly: Monthly count of funding by Issue Date
• Funding # by Issue Date – YTD: Year-to-date funding count by Issue Date
• Funding # by Issue Date – Yearly: Year-over-year funding count by Issue Date

Funding Amount by Issue Date

• Funding $ by Issue Date – Monthly: Monthly funding amount by Issue Date
• Funding $ by Issue Date – YTD: Year-to-date funding amount by Issue Date
• Funding $ by Issue Date – Yearly: Year-over-year funding amount by Issue Date

New Page Filters for the Funding Volume by Issue Date and Funding Amount by Issue Date

• Action Type: A page filter that allows users to choose specific funding action type award modifications.
• Direct Federal: A page filter based on the award sponsor type, where 01 equals "Yes" for federal direct and all else is "No" for non-federal direct.
• Federal Flow Thru: A page filter for the flow codes to determine the type of federal flow through 2, 3, 6, or 7. Direct Federal Funding and 1 means that the award is not an FFT. 1 indicates a private award with no FFT.
• CCSF Aff Agr: A page filter when set to “Yes” returns only CCSF awards [what does this stand for?] (Sponsor ID: 10019) where the Project Title includes “Affiliation Agreement.

New Page Filters for the Proposal

OSR Division: A page filter in the Proposal Summary, Proposal Amount, and Data: Proposal Details Data By Year dashboard pages to select the OSR Division for the Proposals.

• OSR Division
• OSR Analyst UCSF ID
• OSR Analyst Name
