MyTime Enhancements from August 2026 Quarterly Release

The August 6, 2026, MyTime quarterly software release included new features and configuration changes for employees, managers, timekeepers and schedulers. Review the MyTime Enhancement Summary for complete details about the changes and any actions you may need to take (MyAccess login required).

Highlights include:

General updates

  • MyTime web users now see separate Announcements and Get Help tiles, providing greater visibility to timely updates and consistent access to help and training resources.
  • New and consolidated secondary roles simplify access for users with multiple MyTime responsibilities.

All employees

  • Employees can now add comments using the Notes field when submitting an attestation.
  • The MyTime mobile app includes new shortcuts to commonly used scheduling functions, based on the department’s scheduling configuration.

Managers and timekeepers

  • By default, MyTime now charges overtime resulting from shifts transferred to another chartstring to the transferred chartstring rather than the employee’s home chartstring, regardless of when the shift occurs during the day, week or pay period.
  • A new request process is available to set a different time zone for hourly employees who regularly work outside the Pacific time zone.
  • Geofencing settings can now be established at the department/cost center level to accommodate different punching access requirements. Requests require business approvals before implementation.

Managers and schedulers

  • Advanced Scheduling enhancements include automatically creating open shifts when an employee separates from UCSF and accessibility improvements to availability displays.
  • Clinical Scheduling Extensions includes a new Staffing Variance Review report for reviewing staffing utilization and alignment with approved staffing standards.
