Organizational Changes in CGA

Contracts & Grants Accounting (CGA) is pleased to announce its final organizational changes. One of the eight key recommendations from our business process improvement study was to reorganize CGA from the previous functional teams into end-to-end service teams. This reorganization aligns CGA teams with the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) teams supporting increased collaboration between the pre- and post-award offices, and capitalizes on tools and functionality available in PeopleSoft version 9.2.

The new organization streamlines contacts; Principal Investigators and Research Administrators will have a primary CGA contact and service team based on the award. Three tools will be available to help you identify your service team:

  1. In RAS: "CGA Service Team Member" field of the Award Details in the Award Profile (see the revised RAS Quick Reference Guide available on July 1 for location details)
  2. Find Your CGA Service Team quick reference guide (available now)
  3. CGA Contacts on the Controller's Office website (to be updated on July 1)

CGA is simultaneously implementing the use of ServiceNow. Email communication will generate a ServiceNow ticket and be automatically routed to the appropriate service team based on the email address. You can help us respond to your questions more quickly by using the updated email addresses (beginning on July 1) identified on the Controller's Office website and referring to the ServiceNow ticket INC# when contacting CGA.
