This year, the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost is collaborating with the Office of Sponsored Research and the Controller’s Office to celebrate UCSF’s research administrators with a one-day Research Administrators’ Day (RAD) event on Friday, September 23, 2016 at Mission Bay.
Dr. Keith Yamamoto, Vice Chancellor for Science Policy and Strategy and Vice Dean for Research, will kick-off the day with introductory remarks. Immediately following, Drs. Edward Chang (Neurological Surgery), Jaime Sepulveda (Global Health Sciences) and Diane Barber (Cell and Tissue Biology) will discuss “innovation” in a panel facilitated by Dr. Yamamoto. Beginning at 11:30 a.m., research presentations will highlight some of the projects made possible by research administrators. Dr. Atul Butte (Institute for Computational Health Sciences) will end the presentation with closing remarks. Concurrent breakout sessions will provide opportunities to engage with other research administrators on campus about hot topics in research administration. Food and live music will be provided. Join us for all or part of the day – the event is structured to allow participants to come and go freely. For more program details, see the RAD event flyer.
