Tips & Reminders - Update the Dept Preferred Posting Level

The RAS Dept Preferred Posting Level determines which chartstring is used to record the Project budget and posting of subcontract expenses. This information should be updated by the RSA (see the job aid Updating RAS Project Details for step-by-step instructions). If this information is not updated or provided to CGA via email within two business days of the Award Setup email notification sent to the RSA, then CGA will post the budget to the most appropriate posting level Dept ID associated with the Award Dept ID. If the Award Dept ID is a posting level Dept ID, it is automatically set to be the Dept Preferred Posting Level.
