In the January Newsletter, we announced our plan to implement a new General Ledger Verification (GLV) online tracking tool to automate and streamline the review and documentation of the required general ledger verification key control activities. At that time, we estimated the campus roll-out would take place in Spring.
We have been tuning the GLV system to improve performance, and have decided to change the web application that allows users to access the program online. We are making this change to ensure that performance, user interface, and flexibility will meet our expectations. While this has pushed back the pilot testing and roll-out of the GLV online tool, we feel a change in the web application will result in a better tool for our users. Look for further details about this project in the next few months.
Remember, our current guidance and best practices for general ledger verification remain in effect and it is critical that this key control be performed timely.
