2018 Holiday Schedule and Curtailment Period Payroll and HBS Deadlines

The following deadlines have been established to afford the most time for HR Service Centers and the Payroll Office to run their processes. Please review the following schedule carefully and plan accordingly. Departments with shutdown periods beyond the normal curtailment period should establish earlier deadlines to ensure accurate timesheets are submitted and approved prior to closure.

Separations prior to December month-end

Direct deposit will be available in the employee's account on December 28, 2018

Paper checks will be available for pick up on December 28 between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. in Supply Chain Management, suite 304 Mission Center Building
December 21 Last day for monthly EDB updates for the January 2, 2019 pay day

HBS Timekeeping Deadlines for the Biweekly Pay Period Ending December 29

December 27 Run error reports and resolve issues
December 28 Last day to make funding changes in EDB to be recorded in HBS
December 31- January 2

Holiday close process for biweekly pay period ending December 29. Employees and managers who want to avoid submitting and approving timesheets on the holiday should make sure that timesheets are approved on Friday, December 28, 2018. Close schedules remain the same:

  • Employee deadline:  midnight on Monday, December 31, 2018
  • Manager approval deadline:  midnight on Tuesday, January 1, 2019
  • HR deadline:  noon on Wednesday, January 2, 2019
