PeopleSoft Funds for New State-Funded Student Services Support

The Budget Act of 2019 provided new permanent State General Fund support for the University as well as certain one-time funding. As a result, UCSF received new permanent funding to support certain student services, including food and housing insecurity, rapid rehousing efforts and student mental health resources. The following new Funds have been established in PeopleSoft to aid in tracking and reporting related activities:

Student Basic Needs

Provides permanent funding to support meal donation programs, food pantries serving students, CalFresh enrollment, and other means of directly providing nutrition assistance to students. The funds shall also be used to assist homeless and housing-insecure students in securing stable housing.



Student Rapid Rehousing

Provides permanent funding to support rapid rehousing efforts assisting homeless and housing insecure students at the campus.



Student Mental Health Programs

Provides permanent funding to increase resources for Student Mental Health Programs.
