An update to UCSF Campus Administrative Policy 300-14: Cashiering was made in September 2019, and is now available on the Campus Administrative Policies website. This update clarifies definitions related to the handling and processing of cash and cash equivalents at UCSF and supersedes all previous cash handling policies and procedures.
The University of California maintains financial policies that comply with state and federal law and that incorporate recognized best practices for prudent oversight of the University’s financial assets. The UCSF campus is responsible for establishing local implementation procedures to ensure that University assets are processed accurately and timely, properly reported, and protected. Changes in UCSF cash handling policies and procedures may be made from time to time, and future changes will be communicated via the Controller’s Office Newsletter.
