With the upcoming implementation of UCPath at UCSF, UCSF will transition to a new method of charging for the employer contributions to employee benefits, commonly referred to as Composite Benefit Rates (CBRs).
On September 16, 2019, the Office of Budget and Resource Management (BRM) submitted for approval the final UCSF Composite Benefit Rates proposal to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Cost Allocation Services. BRM has published a new Composite Benefit Rates (CBRs) website for the campus community. The website provides an overview of CBRs, employee groups and rates, and FAQ and resources pages.
In an effort to prepare for the implementation of the CBRs in conjunction with the rollout of UCPath, the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) has released new guidance on the application of CBRs to all proposal budgets effective October 15, 2019. Please direct proposal preparation question to your Research Services Coordinator.
Visit the UCPath website for detailed information about the UCPath rollout.
