Distribution of Payroll Expense (DPE) Report Now Displays ERN Codes on Benefit Expense Rows

MyReports adds ERN codes to the Distribution of Payroll Expense benefit rows to help users associate benefit expenses to specific earning types.

Based on input from the MyReports Campus Advisory Group, the Distribution of Payroll Expense (DPE) by Account Report and DPE by Alt Account Report have been enhanced to display earnings (ERN) codes on benefit expense rows.

By including ERN codes in both the salary and benefits sections of the report, users can more easily associate benefit expenses with the specific salary earnings on which they were assessed.

For example, the employee below received regular earnings (REG) and stipend earnings (SAS) in a single pay period.

100000050574 - CBR10/31/2025REGBenefit3,736.27

By referring to the ERN codes listed on the benefit expense rows, users can easily validate which CBR charge was assessed on the stipend payment, and which was assessed on the regular payment. Users can also validate that the leave assessment was only assessed on the regular earnings and not the stipend earnings, since only effort-bearing earnings result in additional leave liability.

This feature was enabled by an enhancement made within the UCPath system in October 2024. As a result, MyReports is unable to display ERN codes for benefit expense rows from months prior to this date.

Users should clear their web browser cache to take advantage of this enhancement.
