General Accounting

General Accounting is a unit within Accounting and Reporting.

What we do

We provide training and support for our University’s Chart of Accounts (COA), assist with General Ledger Verification in accordance with SAS 115, provide guidance regarding financial transactions, and manage the year-end close and audit processes. 

We are responsible for reporting and presenting consolidated financial results to UCSF leadership including analysis and explanation of results and variances to trend and/or plan.
