How to Punch In
- From the InTouch terminal home screen, select the correct punch in softkey.
- Insert your badge in the badge reader slot so that the barcode is facing the badge reader (slide top to bottom), or place your badge near the proximity reader. Note: You can also enter your badge number on the touch screen.
- Optionally, you may need to place your finger on the sensor if biometrics are used.
A confirmation message will appear on the screen, along with a green indicator if the punch in is successful.

How to Punch Out
- From the InTouch terminal home screen, select the correct punch out softkey.
- Insert your badge in the badge reader slot so that the barcode is facing the badge reader (slide top to bottom), or place your badge near the proximity reader. Note: You can also enter your badge number on the touch screen.
- Optionally, you may need to place your finger on the sensor if biometrics are used.

How to Locate Your UCSF Badge Number
Your badge number is located on the back of your UCSF badge.
There are small numbers at the bottom of the badge.
The first segment is your badge number.
