The Self-Schedule feature in MyTime Advanced Scheduling allows you to choose the shifts you would prefer to work in the upcoming schedule period. You can continue to build your schedule for the period until the request period closes. Self-schedule requests are reviewed and approved by a manager or scheduler.
This guide provides employees in MyTime Advanced Scheduling departments with step-by-step instructions on how to review and select available shifts when submitting self-scheduling requests.
Requesting Self-Schedule
- From the Manage My Schedule tile, select Build My Schedule.
- You have the option to view the list of shifts in the list view, by selecting Show List or the calendar view by selecting Show Calendar.
- You can select Refine to sort and filter shifts based on criteria such as start time or shift duration.
- Once you have made these selections, select Apply.
- If you select the More icon, you can see additional details about the shift.
- You can choose Select Shift to select the shift or OK to return to the previous panel without selecting the shift.
- Select the shifts you would like to add to your schedule.
- Select Review to see your shift selections before submitting.
- Select Submit to submit your request.
- Select Ok. You can continue to edit your shift selections until the request visibility period closes.








Reviewing Request Information
- On the Home Page, select the bell icon on the top right of the screen. This opens the Control Center. Alternatively, you can select the Open Shift Requests section in the My Notifications tile to go to the Control Center.
- Review your request statuses. If your manager has not yet responded, the status will be listed as Submitted. If your manager has responded you will see the status is either Approved or Rejected.
- You call see your Approved Shift Requests in your calendar. To navigate there, open the Main Menu in the top left corner of your Home Page.
- Expand the My Information section and select My Calendar.
- On the My Calendar page you are able to see your scheduled shifts and days that still have Open Shifts that you can request.
