We are approaching deployment of award verification at UCSF!
All Principal Investigators (PIs), Program Managers, and RSAs documented in the Research Administration System (RAS) will receive an email from [email protected] announcing that the system is live. Beginning April 12, users can access the Award Verification Tool via MyAccess.
At go-live, data in the system will reflect financial activity posted to the General Ledger through the March 2021 monthly close. The Award Verification Tool will indicate the verification status for sponsored awards within each Award PI's portfolio.
- Current sponsored awards, including awards in Advance status, will be flagged for verification with the status of "Due This Month".
- Awards beginning in February 2021 or later will not be due for verification until three months have passed since the award start date.
- Awards that have ended and had expense activity since May 2020 will also be flagged for verification.
- As our last effort reporting cycle covered activity through May 2, 2020, any award that has had activity since May 2020 must be verified to ensure there is no gap in meeting federal requirements.
- These awards will display in the Final Verification Pending section of the Award Verification dashboard.
Non-sponsored projects within each PI's portfolio will also be loaded in the Tool and be available for optional review. The Tool will display non-sponsored projects with a beginning net position for FY 2020-21 or with financial activity during the fiscal year.
