Cash Handling Tips: Reporting Drop Safe Issues

If you discover an issue at the drop safe, contact a member of the Cash & Controls Team immediately for further assistance.

If you are unable to drop your bag to the lower safe, do not leave your deposit in the top safe. For a damaged lock or stuck bag, email the following information to one of the contacts listed above.

  • Drop safe location
  • Detailed description of the bag contents: the amount of checks and cash, deposit location number
  • For a jammed deposit bag inside the safe, a photo of the jammed bag to determine what type of repair is needed
  • Date and time the bag was dropped

When possible, please leave a note on the safe to inform other depositors of the date and time the issue was reported to the Controller’s Office. For further assistance or questions, contact the Cash and Controls Team.
