Avoiding Session Timeouts after the UCPath Fluid User Interface Upgrade

On October 15, 2022, UCPath implemented the PeopleSoft Fluid User Interface (UI). Users with transactor and inquiry roles now navigate to lookup and data entry pages using the new PeopleSoft Homepage menu and Fluid navigation tiles.

Transactors should note that session timeouts on the PeopleSoft Homepages are controlled by timeouts on the main UCPath online portal. If you have a UCPath online portal page open in a separate tab or window while actively working in the application, your session will end if one of these periods of inactivity is reached:

  • 60 minutes of inactivity on the UCPath online portal dashboard
  • 20 minutes of inactivity on any self-service page

To avoid being logged out of your session due to inactivity on a UCPath online portal page:

  • Close the UCPath online portal tab or window after you launch the PeopleSoft Homepage menu.
  • Respond by clicking "OK" if you receive a PeopleSoft message indicating "Your session is about to expire."
