To safeguard employee data, UCPath now sends an email notification to employees whose direct deposit information has been updated.
This verification email is legitimate and is part of UCPath’s enhanced security protocols. If you authorized this change, no further action is required. If you did not make this change, or if you're uncertain, it's important to contact UCPath right away to verify that your account is still accurate. Contact UCPath at (855) 982-7284, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
UCPath is introducing this new security measure in response to recent phishing attempts. Phishing attacks are becoming more sophisticated and difficult to differentiate from legitimate email messages, putting your personal information and University data at risk. Remain vigilant and be on the lookout for suspicious emails. DO NOT click on links or attachments in unsolicited emails. UCSF IT has guidance on identifying and responding to phishing attempts (opens in new window), including instructions on how to report phishing. Remember, overreporting is not an issue.
