PeopleSoft Asset Management
Purpose
PeopleSoft's Asset Management module is used for the tracking and management of capital equipment at UCSF. This section explains roles and responsibilities, along with providing the necessary related resources to perform your duties as an equipment custodian, delegate, or curator in PeopleSoft Asset Management.
Roles and Responsibilities
Four primary departmental user roles support PeopleSoft Asset Management functionality: Custodian, Custodial Delegate, Curator, and Maintenance and RRP Admin. This job aid describes the procedures performed by users with the Custodian and Custodial Delegate system roles in PeopleSoft in support of the following responsibilities:

Review Establishing Equipment Custodians for roles and responsibilities, along with details on how to obtain access to PeopleSoft as an Equipment Custodian or Custodial Delegate.
Note that before you can assign a Custodial Delegate, they must have already been provisioned access to PeopleSoft Asset Management as outlined in Establishing Equipment Custodians.
Before accessing and using Peoplesoft, Equipment Custodians should refer to the Equipment Management service on the Controller's Office website for the most up-to-date job aids, policies, forms, and procedures.
Custodial roles are supported by the Capitalized Asset Management (CAM) group, part of Controller’s Office Capital Equipment & Accounting.
