In December, the UCPath Center will perform a technical upgrade of the underlying Oracle PeopleSoft HCM platform. Known as the UCPath PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) Upgrade Project, it will bring the platform to the current version and aims to improve system stability, implement required new functionality, and deliver bug fixes. This project is being managed by the UCPath Center and the UC Office of the President.
UCSF employees, managers, and department transactors will see minimal to no changes to their experience using UCPath online. However, the upgrade process will require a cutover period when UCPath will be unavailable for all employees and transactors. The cutover period is currently planned for noon on Friday, December 10 through 6 a.m. on Monday, December 13. We will announce further details about the planned outage as December approaches.
UCSF Human Resources (HR) and Payroll units have updated local processing schedules to accommodate the planned December outage.
- The Campus HR Transaction Services Unit recently updated the UCPath UCSF HR Processing Calendar. There are no changes to department deadlines to submit PeopleConnect Management Action (PCMA) cases to HR.
- The Controller's Office recently updated the Payroll Processing Calendar. Funding Entry and Salary Cost Transfer Initiators and Approvers should review the current schedule for funding entry and salary cost transfer deadlines.
- The biweekly pay period ending December 25 will close one day early in HBS. As a result, all timesheets must be approved no later than 9 a.m. on Monday, December 27.
